Effective July 19, 2026
By downloading or using NYC FireShift ("the app"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
NYC FireShift is an independent product of a private developer. It is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored, or approved by the Fire Department of the City of New York (FDNY), the FDNY Foundation, or the City of New York. References to the FDNY are for identification of the intended audience only.
Schedules, calculations, totals, reference text, and study material are provided for personal convenience and education. They are not official records, legal advice, or department guidance. Always verify against current official sources — orders, the department chart, payroll records, and enacted law — and follow current department policy. Fire Code and rule text may lag official amendments.
You are responsible for your own data, including creating backups. Records are stored on your device; losing or resetting the device without a backup can permanently delete them.
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, per the App Store terms. Statutory text included in the app is public law; original study material and the app's design are © the developer.
Do not misuse the app, attempt to disrupt its content service, or redistribute its original content commercially.
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any damages arising from use of the app, including missed tours, incorrect totals, lost records, or reliance on reference content.
Features may change, be added, or be removed. Updated terms will be posted at this address with a new effective date; continued use constitutes acceptance.
